Carving out time to apply for different jobs is difficult when you feel under assault but also is empowering and may lead to a better situation.“If somebody gives you an impression that you’re not able to leave this job, that’s just not true,” Grouette said. “Those sorts of people don’t have the reach or respect that they claim to have, because if they’re volatile to you, they’re volatile to others.”
